Marketing and Event Management
Location of internship: Hyderabad Tenure: 3 months

Eligibility
Students pursuing Graduate/Post Graduate (pursuing or completed) from a top college in disciplines like Mass Communication, Media Studies, Marketing, Design, and Management with excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Role Description
Creya learning is launching a nationwide contest for school students of grade K-12 that will cover programs on Science, Technology, Digital Media & Arts and Life and Leadership Skills - all designed to deliver 21st century skills to our students.

The Interns will be exposed to different media that can be used for promoting, marketing and communicating - print, web, TV, radio and road shows. They will work with the senior team of Creya in defining various marketing events, advertisements and collateral. They will get to work on what will become one of India's hottest campaigns given our urge to innovate and the flexibility to be open and receive suggestions.

Skill sets
Excellent communication skills, high energy levels and a genuine passion for creating innovating campaigns, designing events and communication material.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? We are looking for Social Media Designers who want to work with a start-up, interact with a creative, enthusiastic and energetic team, and contribute to creating awareness about the importance of the right kind of learning. We want you to get to know us, understand what we do, learn with us, grow with us, and help us make our products better. Your expedition with us will involve:
  • Conceptualising branding and marketing ideas and designs for our program
  • Creating marketing collateral out of our students’ work (videos, posters, banners, and so on)
  • Conceptualise and deliver designs for merchandising
  • Build a creative, dynamic, consistent, and interesting social media voice
  • Create a specific “look and feel” for a page
  • Manage and maintain the Creya’s social media platforms
WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA FOR JOINING US? Any one of you can apply:
  • Interested in entering the education field and learn how design and marketing works here
  • Experienced people who want to gain a fresh and fun experience of working in the education field
  • A Bachelors or Masters Degree (Show us that you have what it takes to do this job)
There are, however, some non-negotiable criteria you have to fulfil:
  • A design portfolio – we want to see examples of any and all of your previous work
  • Familiarity with the following tools, at the minimum:
    • Photoshop
    • Illustrator
    • After Effects
    • Premiere Pro

WHAT ARE SKILLS? While there are many kinds of skills, we follow the P21 skill listing. These are fundamental skills that enable people to make sense of the world, work productively with others, understand and solve problems and reach their fullest potential.

HOW DO WE DEVELOP SKILLS IN STUDENTS? We have written a skill-based, experiential and constructivist curriculum for Grades 1-10. We partner with schools across the country and train their teachers to deliver this curriculum.

When a school takes up our program, we set up a Learning Studio in the school, where each section comes once a week for the Creya class. We then train the teachers and support them as they deliver the program. Our training includes tool-based training, pedagogy training as well as classroom management training.

As students use our curriculum, they get the opportunity to work with various tools (Engineering, Film Making, Photo Editing, Robotics, Programming, etc.). Students always work in teams of 3, and always create a tangible output by the end of the class.
WHY DO WE WANT YOU? We are looking for folks who share our beliefs about the necessity of skills in our country, and we want you to help us make our vision a reality in schools.

As an Associate Education Program Manager, you will be in charge of 5 to 8 schools, and your primary responsibility will be to ensure that your schools are successful in delivering skills to our ultimate customer – the students. This will involve:
  • Understanding our curriculum, our pedagogies and our support models
  • Training and mentoring teachers through onsite and offsite support
  • Anticipating and solving operational roadblocks that come in the way of successful implementation
  • Managing stakeholder expectations (school leadership, parents, teachers and students)
  • Adding value to the company by collaborating with the Sales, Curriculum, Logistics and Marketing teams to find ways to improve what we offer
WHAT ARE THE CRITERIA FOR JOINING US? The AEPM role will require significant traveling or relocation. We expect people who are willing/excited at this prospect to apply. We currently have schools in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Punjab and Rajasthan. Our headquarters is in Hyderabad.

The job, in a nutshell, is to ensure that the program runs successfully in your schools. This will involve a fair amount of communication, collaboration, initiative, adaptability, thinking skills and a do-or-die attitude. If you show us that you have these skills, that you get a kick out of creating a success, we would love to hire you. The criteria for hiring are:
  • Passion for bringing about a change in our education system
  • Work experience in the Education field for a minimum of 1 year (We would love to understand your perspectives and see how they can be put to use here)
