Welcome aboard, Creya’tors and Curious MeerKats! The Summer of Discovery Camps are your passport to set sail on a voyage of imagination, creativity, and hands-on learning, all at the fascinating and innovative environs of T-Works!

3D Space Creators is a camp for inquisitive and adventurous youngsters from Grades 4 – 5 (Ages 9 – 10), ready to blast off into a universe of creativity and imagination.  Campers design their very own 3D models of rockets and satellites, mastering tools like text, align, and workplanes along the way. Along the way, they explore the physics behind these celestial marvels and learn the importance of design considerations. And in the grand finale: they get to design a space shuttle and get ready to reach for the stars and beyond!

Camp Activities

Rocket Design

Campers will get introduced to 3D design software tools like Tinkercad and learn to design 3D models of rockets and in the process develop their visualization skills required to create the intricate details of rocket structures.

Satellite Creation

Campers will extend their creativity to the cosmos moving on to designing 3D models of satellites as they get into grips with considerations of factors such as size, shape, and functionality.

Challenge: Personalized Inscription

Campers engage in a thrilling challenge to design an object of their choice with a personalized inscription, applying their newfound skills and creativity exploring the possibilities of 3D design

Capstone Project: Sci-Fi Space Shuttle

As the culmination of their camp journey, they undertake the challenge of designing a futuristic space shuttle for a Sci-Fi movie. They apply the skills and concepts from the camp to bring their vision of space travel to life.
