Camp Activities
Explorer Bot and Introduction to Coding
Campers embark on a robotics adventure by assembling a Rover using the FT Robotics suite, getting introduced to the fundamental components of a robotic vehicle and programming with the “Robo Pro Coding” app as they learn how to give the rover the commands to navigate through various terrains.
Capstone
Campers explore the capabilities of Ultrasonic Distance Sensors and their use in robotics such as enabling robots to “see” their environment. Campers harness this technology to build an autonomous cleaning vehicle that can detect and navigate around obstacles independently and avoid collisions found in the real-world.
Path Finder
Transitioning from mechanical construction to sensor integration with a focus on infrared (IR) technology. Campers get to grips with how IR sensors work, including their application in real-world robotics for tasks such as proximity detection and navigation. By the end of the day, the robot will have a new layer of sensory perception, enabling it to understand and interact with the world in a way it couldn’t before.
