Ages 5 to 10

Curious young minds love to build, explore, and press buttons and in this exciting Early Robotics
Workshop, they’ll do just that (and so much more)! This specially designed experience introduces children aged 5 to 10 to the magical world of robots, sensors, and coding, through hands-on activities that
are simple, safe, and seriously fun. No prior experience needed just imagination, curiosity, and a day filled
with discovery!

DAY 1 (SATURDAY)

BOOTCAMP AND BUILD YOUR ROBBIE

  • Introduction to the fundamentals of robotics
  • Explore various actions a robot can perform
  • Learn to use icon-based coding to program the robot
  • Program it to move, play sounds, respond to lights

DAY 2 (SUNDAY)

CHALLENGE AND ROBOT RACE

  • Program the robot to navigate paths, race against other robots
  • Get the robot to display various emoticons to express emotions
  • Present the code logic and demonstrate their robot's actions to peers and parents

Using child-friendly robotics kits, vibrant building materials, and intuitive coding interfaces, children will
learn how to create machines that move, light up, make sounds, and respond to their surroundings.
They’ll build their confidence while exploring the basics of engineering, logic, and automation! They’ll
use icon- based coding (perfect for pre-readers) and progress to block-based commands as they explore
how to make their robot follow instructions, perform tasks, and react to real-world stimuli.
