Hands-On STEM Learning & Design Thinking Workshops for Teachers

In line with the expectations of NEP 2020 , we need schools to inculcate the spirit of ideating, designing and prototyping as a foundational skill for students. Schools have set up STEM labs, Design Studios, ATL’s and Maker Spaces for this objective. However, this vision can be fully realized only if teachers are inspired and equipped to guide their students in developing their innovation, design thinking and entrepreneurial skills.

Towards that mission, Creya Learning and T-Works present a fully hands-on, unique 2 Day Workshops for Teachers to give them pedagogical foundation for encouraging a maker mindset in students. Built on a decade of Teacher Training programs in STEM Learning & Design Thinking, this 2 Day ‘Maker in Teacher’ program helps discover, nurture and inspire the Maker in your Teachers.

Target Segment:

Teachers / Academic Coordinators responsible for driving innovation, maker spaces, STEM labs, design thinking skills inside the school

Purpose:

Introduce teachers to the concept of “making” and its mindset, along with pedagogical tools and classroom practices, through hands-on experience with specific technologies like Robotics, IoT, or 3D Design as well as understanding and applying the design thinking cycle in the context of a typical STEM Lab & Design Studio environment.

Your teachers trained in the program will be able to do the first level of guiding, mentoring and hand-holding students in your STEM Lab or Maker Space or in any project that involves technology.

  • Intro to elements of a typical STEM Lab, Design Studio & Maker Space
  • Bootcamps and hands-on projects in a Technology like Robotics, IoT or 3D Design.
  • One cycle of DT in action: empathize, define, ideate, design, prototype, test, evaluate
  • Pedagogical tools and classroom management practices apt for a Maker Space
  • Inspire teachers to fall in love with for tinkering, building, making, innovating
  • Tour of T-Works Facilities that includes world class prototyping tools
  • Certificate of Completion from T-Works / Creya
