Young Builders

Build, Fix & Fun

Grades 1 - 4 (Ages 6 to 11)

Calling all young tinkerers, curious minds, leaders of bricks and future engineers! Do you love constructing the tallest and strongest structures, solving fun challenges, then this STEM & Makers camp is for you!

Go beyond just stacking bricks or blocks with the Young Engineers, a MeerKats & Mean Machines Camp where you discover how real engineers design, build, and problem-solve while working on cool challenges using fundamentals of  motion, balance, and mechanics. Over 6 fun-filled days, campers will explore the basics of structural design, movement, and simple machines experimenting with gears, levers, pulleys, and mechanical systems to create exciting models.

Camp Itinerary

Building Basics

Our Young Builders get started using our Engineering constructables to build basic structures. From planning, constructing and deconstructing, the young builders explore the concepts of balance, stability and rigid designs.

Simple Machines in Action

Our Young Builders get introduced to mechanical components such as gears, levers, wheels and pulleys, building simple machines. They experiment with movements and mechanics.

Motions & Mechanics

Young Builders design and build fun moving models using the Engineering constructible and bricks. They also get an opportunity to enhance their builds by introducing motorization to make them autonomous.

Capstone Challenge: Build, Test & Refine

Young Builders bring their ideas to life by building, testing, and improving their models. They use simple design and engineering skills to create working solutions.
