Welcome to Advanced AI Bots 201 !
Advanced AI Bots 201 is a next-level Design & Technology program for makers who have already been there and done that with basic robotics. This camp focuses on how real-world intelligent systems are architected, combining advanced robotics concepts, AI logic, and IoT-based connectivity.
It gets you to explore how and why systems are designed, preparing students to tackle complex, real-world automation challenges and begin building a strong technical portfolio.
6 Day Activity Journey
Day 1: Microcontroller Systems & Robotics Architecture
Campers explore multiple types of microcontrollers and how they differ in capability, performance, and real-world use cases. They dive deep into system architecture, understanding how sensors, controllers, and actuators are selected and configured for different applications. Emphasis is placed on decision-making logic, efficiency, and reliability — setting the technical foundation for the rest of the camp.
Day 2: IoT & Smart Automation Systems
Campers design and build connected automation systems using IoT principles. They learn how data flows from sensors to control logic and into dashboards for remote monitoring and control. Through hands-on projects, students explore how smart automation is used in homes, industries, and infrastructure to improve efficiency, safety, and scalability.
Day 3: AI Systems with Text-Based Programming
Moving beyond visual AI tools, campers build AI-driven systems using text-based coding. They work with structured logic to process data, apply AI decision-making, and integrate intelligence into automated systems. This day focuses on understanding AI workflows, control logic, and system behavior, mirroring how AI is implemented in real engineering environments.
Day 4: Real-World Problem Solving & Capstone Design
Campers take on open-ended, real-world problems and apply advanced Design Thinking techniques to define system requirements, constraints, and success criteria. They design end-to-end solutions, creating system diagrams, workflows, and technical plans that guide their Capstone Project development.
Day 5: Advanced Prototype Development
A deep build day focused on engineering refinement. Campers develop functional prototypes, test edge cases, optimize system performance, and improve reliability. They document their work, justify design decisions, and prepare portfolio-ready presentations that explain not just what they built, but how and why it works.
Day 6: Capstone Showcase & Portfolio Presentation
Campers present their Advanced AI and Automation Capstone Projects, demonstrating intelligent decision-making, connected systems, and robust automation logic. They receive feedback, reflect on their engineering process, and graduate with a certificate of completion and the foundation of a technical project portfolio.
